Terms of Service
Last updated: March 22, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Book-Agent (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization.
2. Description of Service
Book-Agent is an AI-powered bookkeeping automation platform that connects to your accounting system (Odoo or QuickBooks Online), ingests bills and invoices from email, cloud storage, or direct uploads, and creates draft accounting entries for your review and approval. The Service learns your accounting patterns to improve accuracy over time.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Your Data
You retain all ownership rights to the data you provide to the Service, including documents, accounting records, and business information. We use your data solely to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any data you upload or connect to the Service, including documents received via email or cloud storage.
5. Accounting Accuracy
Book-Agent creates draft accounting entries for your review. While we strive for high accuracy, the Service is an automation tool — not a licensed accounting firm. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all entries before they are written to your accounting system. We do not provide tax, legal, or financial advice.
6. Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Google (Gmail, Google Drive, OAuth), Odoo, and Intuit QuickBooks Online. Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to process documents you do not have authorization to access
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Book-Agent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for a reasonable period to allow you to export it, after which it will be deleted.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Contact
